Cairo, May 5th 2020 – General Motors and Al Mansour Automotive have launched today the all new Chevrolet Captiva for the Egyptian market, revealed for the very first time in the Middle East region through Dubai’s International Motor Show, which was held in the United Arab Emirates last November.
The all new Chevrolet Captiva was featured using the latest technologies to-date via Zoom Web Conferencing, in its first precedence for an automotive company to showcase its newest vehicle in that context. The conference was attended by senior officials from General Motors Egypt and Al Mansour Automotive, on top of which was Eng. Tarek Atta, Chairman and Managing Director of General Motors Egypt and North Africa, and Eng. Adel Khadr, Chief Executive Officer of Al Mansour Automotive and Mr. Ankush Arora, Chief Operating Officer at Al Mansour Automotive. The meeting commenced by speeches from the senior officials followed by a demonstration of the all new Chevrolet Captiva key features. Building on Chevrolet’s global SUV experience, Chevrolet Captiva delivers on the brand’s ‘3S’ concept of the modern SUV; Stylish, Spacious and Smart technologies.

The All New Chevrolet Captiva is remarkably distinguished in its segment for its strong performance and stylish and modern design, equipped with the latest safety and smart driving technologies. Powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, in-line 4-cylinder engine, a Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC), provide 148 horse power and a torque of 255 Nm, to deliver a fuel consumption of 8.4 liters for every 100 km, along with a CVT transmission, electric power steering and available in three trims; LS, LT and Premier.
The All New Chevrolet Captiva has a contemporary design, thoughtful touches such as the elegant grille design with Chevrolet badge offering a striking look and equipped with the halogen head lamps with LED daytime running lights (DRL), front and rear fog lamps, and sporty alloy wheels 17 inches with a 215/ R60 17 tires. The vehicle also comes in various colors that add another dimension to its elegance.
The All New Chevrolet Captiva offers a spacious and comfortable 5 seats cabin design, and available with 7 seats in the Premier trim, making every moment on board enjoyable for the whole family. The LT and Premier trims are geared with multifunction steering wheel, leatherette seats, cruise control, power sunroof, chrome door handles, push start engine ignition and air conditioning system with digital display. The Premier trim is equipped with 7-inch TFT digital color driver information screen designed to be easy to see while on the road, front parking sensor to assist the driver in a tight spot, power folding outside mirrors, tire pressure monitoring system. In addition to a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat for a more pleasant driving experience.
All the trims are equipped with all the safety features including: Airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Hydraulic Brake Assistance (HBA), Hill Start Assist(HAS) and a rear-view camera.
