Make every drive an extraordinary one. Power your way, gracefully, through busy traffic. Decimate that big sand dune effortlessly. Conquer mighty rocks without as much as a grunt. And pile on those shopping bags on its enormous deck till the store runs out of stock.
Whatever your passion, pursuit or purpose the ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross is here to make every moment the most exhilarating one.
Which is why more and more discerning people are choosing India’s first Adventure Utility Vehicle.
Whether you are cruising on the freeway, carrying adventure gear or heading uphill, the ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross exceeds expectations the moment you hit the pedal.
The V-Cross is powered by a 2.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engine that produces 134 hp and 320 Nm of torque to take on the toughest road conditions and terrain.
The rich configuration of double overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder produces high combustion efficiency achieving high power and good fuel efficiency.
An intercooler with thermo-cooling capacity is located at the front of the engine. Compression by the turbocharger causes the intake air to heat up, which is therefore pushed through an intercooler to reduce the temperature and increase the air density. This enhances the combustion efficiency of the engine, improves fuel efficiency, produces high power and reduces CO2 emissions.
A steel timing chain, with proven reliability compared to a standard timing belt, is used for long-lasting durability.
ISUZU’s Variable Geometry System (VGS) Turbocharger helps improve performance at low engine rpm leading to better engine efficiency and less turbo lag.
The polymer-based coating applied on piston skirts significantly reduces friction during cold starts, while also improving engine longevity and fuel economy.
The big end of the piston connecting rod uses toughened friction bearings that work longer and minimise wear and tear among the engine components, thereby increasing durability.
ISUZU’s electronically controlled common rail high-pressure system ensures the right amount of fuel is injected at the right time, at the right pressure; resulting in maximum engine performance at all times.
Achieving better engine efficiency with a balance of power, emission and good fuel economy is difficult. ISUZU has in-house expertise spanning many generations in developing electronic control software. This helps in achieving this right balance.
Be it city roads, highways, hills, countryside roads or muddy trail stretching for miles, the ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross comes with a superior shift-on-the-fly 4WD system that allows you to quickly shift into the required drive mode at the turn of a knob while on the move. Shift into 2H for daily city or highway commute. Smooth and fuel-efficient performance throughout the drive! 4H mode provides extra traction to keep the vehicle stable in bad road conditions like dirt or slippery roads. You can change from 2H to 4H on the go, up to speeds of 100 kmph. 4L- Get maximum torque to pull you through sharp inclines, deep mud, snow and uneven surfaces. ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross is designed such that it has a low center of gravity, wider wheel track and suspension design resulting in an outstanding static stability factor.
ISUZU has conducted a battery of tests on the world’s toughest roads, topography and weather conditions, over a distance spanning more than 4 million km. This is equivalent to driving 100 times around the globe. No surprises, then unmatched on-road reliability is standard in every ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross.
Perfectly tuned gear ratios make the Adventure Utility Vehicle’s 5 speed manual transmission a smooth operator. Mated perfectly to the engine it’s a combination that gives you perfect control.
Robust ladder frame construction, based on the ISUZU Gravity Response Intelligent Platform ensures long term durability and maintains stability in all terrain and conditions.
The long wheelbase contributes to stability at high speeds and the wide track results in better handling in both on and off-road conditions.
Its superior strength and rigidity make it ideal for building a passenger safety cell within the vehicle cabin. Being thin, it also contributes to the lighter weight of the vehicle.
A tailored blank consists of different steel sheets with varying thicknesses and grades – laser welded together – into a single component. It’s a tailor-made solution that places the best material at the best place, thereby boosting the vehicle’s rigidity while keeping the overall weight in check.
The outer body panels pass through a specialised hot-dip galvanisation process that adds a permanently bonded alloy coating. Thus providing superior paint finish to the ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross and ensuring better protection from corrosion.
The ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross has been tested and developed in the same wind tunnel as the Japanese Bullet Train. Making it not just aerodynamically advanced but also quieter, and more comfortable than any other vehicle in its class.
Climb inside the spacious cabin and you will fall in love with the thoughtfully designed interiors and driver-assist features. Whether behind the wheel or as a passenger, the ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross will surround you with a high level of refinement.
ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross is equipped with an independent, double wishbone system at the front. This type, often seen doing duty in F1 machines and luxury sedans, can control any change in the camber angle when the tyre moves up and down. Enabling the tyres to maintain uniform grip on the road and a stable feel at all times.
ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross features longer, flatter rear springs and gas shock absorbers to work in unison with the front suspension design. The rear springs are located above the rear axle (over slung) for improved ground clearance that also helps during off-road driving.
The ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross is mounted on a ladder frame chassis, which is much stronger than a light monocoque body. Using actual vehicle experiments and computer analysis, ISUZU engineers raised the bar higher and added impact absorption capabilities to protect occupants and pedestrians in the event of a collision. It goes without saying that V-Cross meets ISUZU’s guidelines on performance:‘Run’, ‘Curb/Control’ and ‘Stop’.
The V-Cross chassis is not only robust but also provides exceptional impact energy absorption to protect the occupants in the event of frontal impact.
Dual frontal airbags are standard. While the seat belts act as the ‘Primary Restrain System’, the airbags act as a ‘Secondary Restraint System (SRS)’ and prevents injuries to front occupants.
